Segmental Lymphedema Pumps
Advanced Rehab Technologies provides information and support for lymphedema pump options, including segmental pumps and calibrated gradient-pressure pumps used in compression therapy care.
Segmental Pump Overview
Segmental pumps are highly effective compression options because they typically use three or four chambers that inflate sequentially, rather than relying on a single chamber design.
Excellent examples of these pumps include the Huntleigh FlowPress, the Bio Compression 2004, and the Devon 5150 Pump.
Bio Compression 2004
The Bio Compression 2004 is a gradient, sequential compression device intended for primary or secondary lymphedema, swelling of the arms and legs, and the alternate treatment of chronic venous stasis ulcers with associated venous insufficiency.
The device is intended for home or hospital use. It operates bilaterally, is lightweight, portable, easy to use, and cost-effective.
This device helps reduce pain and edema, promotes lymphatic flow, stimulates circulation, and supports continuous flow treatment.
Huntleigh FlowPress
The Huntleigh FlowPress is a standard sequential segmental compression pump featuring three distinct chambers.
Garments can range from 19 inches to 36 inches long, and the pump has the ability to use two garments at one time.
