Interferential Stimulator

Interferential therapy, during the past twenty years, has increased in popularity to the point that it is now perhaps the most widely used form of electrotherapy in the United States. First developed in Europe, where this unique form of stimulation has been utilized for numerous indications, interferential units have been marketed since the early 1950's. We here at Advanced Rehab Technologies have had a great deal of experience in using Interferential Stimulators to help patients with pain.

T.E.N.S. Unit:

Our Standard T.E.N.S. unit. (Comes w/ a timer built in) TENS units are usually covered by Medicare, and most major insurance companies. TENS" is the acronym for Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation. A "TENS unit" is a pocket size, portable, battery-operated device that sends electrical impulses to certain parts of the body to block pain signals. The electrical currents produced are mild, but they can prevent pain messages from being transmitted to the brain and may raise the level of endorphins (natural pain killers produced by the brain).
